Yucatan excellent for Health Tourism

“Yucatan has everything, It’s an ideal place for Health Tourism” said recently Dr. Pradosh Kumar Panigrahi, President of the “International Board of Medicine and Surgery“.

Kumar Panigrahian, an expert in the increasingly strong relationship in the world between tourism and health, suggested to the Mexican government that “take enough interest so that more can be developed in this area”. He visited the Anahuac Mayab University, in the peninsula.

The Mexican name for the Atlantic coastal region of the Yucatan Peninsula is “Riviera Maya”. Merida is the capital city of Yucatan. Once an ancient city of the Maya it is now the hub of economic commerce and trade. Merida is situated perfectly so you can travel to any number of ruin sites.

But Cancun, in Yucatan, can be mentioned as the tourist queen of Mexico. Is a relatively new city having just been built within the last 30 years. Cancun is where the main international airport is located.

The place for vacations boasts the biggest and most luxurious hotels in all the Yucatan. There are miles of sandy beach and lots of shopping and nightlife. Further south is the Maya Riviera. A combination of white sandy beaches and natural beach.

Yucatan in the International Health Tourism Market

There are many beautiful resorts along the Maya Riviera and many small cities including Playa del Carmen and Tulum. The archaeological site of Coba is near Tulum as well as Tulum Ruins with its captivating beach.

Yucatan meets all the essential requirements to become an important pole of tourism focused on health. The firm “Mid Global Care Health Division”, which will offer a health tourism service and which works in conjunction with the aforementioned organization, is developed in the TecniA Park facility, located within campus.

Dr. Pradosh Kumar shared that during his visit to Mérida, he is impressed to see nothing but good things; he has an excellent impression about the doctors he has met, the medical facilities he has visited and the city in general.

The expert, whose statements were published by the Yucatan Times added that Mérida can have access to the international Health Tourism market with good results.

“There is hospital infrastructure, good level medical staff and combined with the tourist attractions of Yucatan, could make the State an ideal place for this type of tourist activity”, he said.

The Doctor said he would like doctors to understand the importance of medical tourism so they can be aware of how they can help and protect people from all over the world.
