Obesity under attack

The worldwide number of cases diseases related to obesity has doubled since 1980.

According to a recent World Health Organization (WHO) report this is an alarming trend.

International medical research says that obesity disorder can increase the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure. It can also limit the mobility and lead to overall poor health.

These are  bad news for people who have decided to live overweight.

But it is a challenge for health tourism industry and  a key driver for market growth.

A report from Business Wire assured that the global cosmetic surgery market will grow at a CAGR of 6.80% during the period 2016-2020.

Cosmetic surgery is a procedure carried out to improve the appearance of specific parts of the body.

Magic surgery?

Both men and women may opt for these surgeries, and they are usually carried out over areas which are otherwise functioning perfectly.

But scientific analyzes claim that weight loss surgery is not a quick and easy way to solve or cure obesity.

One of those studies says obesity is a disorder where you have an excessive amount of body fat.

While there is no easy cure for obesity, reducing the body fat through adjustments to the diet and lifestyle can make it easier to shed excess body weight.

As a last resort, obesity can also treat by taking weight loss medication or talking to a doctor about weight loss surgery.

Losing weight slowly

Instead experts recommend Losing weight slowly and constantly.

For example, 1–2 lb each week is often better than losing a lot quickly, because it is more likely to stay off once a person reaches their target weight.

Exercise and dietary changes are useful weight-loss tools.

Unfortunately experts recognized that for some people these are not effective.

Then in this case, medication or surgery might be an option.

Another warning is that sometimes, a health condition — such as a hormonal problem — can result in weight gain. In this case, treating the imbalance can help to solve the problem.

However, a preferred medical weapon against obesity is the physical activity

Climbing the stairs instead of taking the elevator can be good exercise.

A person needs to burn 3,500 calories daily. Others good ways to start getting active include walking briskly, swimming, getting off the bus or train one stop earlier and walking the rest of the way.

Also are recommended doing chores such as gardening, housework, or walking the dog. Also doing 60–90 minutes of moderately intense activity.

The results could be magic for mind and body.

Being a healthy weight offers many health benefits, as well as a feeling of wellbeing.
